Aregbesola Canvasses Massive Support For ADC, Says APC Has Failed Nigerians

…Party Committed To Rescue Nigeria, Restore Good Governance – ADC Scribe

Thousands of loyalists, supporters, members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro federal constituency of Osun State, on Tuesday, trooped out to receive the National Secretary of the party, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who led the party’s hierarchy in the country to the area to kick-off the inauguration of party officials and structures across the nine federal constituencies of the state.

In his remarks, Aregbesola stated that the purpose of the visit is to awaken the consciousness of party members to commence aggressive mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Osun.

He noted that the ADC is committed to restoring the state and Nigeria to the hands of a genuine, progressive and people friendly government that will make life bearable for the common man.

“We are here to reawaken the consciousness of our people to the state of things in our country and to seek their unflinching support and solidarity.

“We are here to tell you that the party that will restore responsible leadership and good governance to our country.

“We are the friends of the masses. The policies of this administration has sent thousands to the shackles of poverty, hunger and bad governance.

The party scribe who decried the pervasive hunger, insecurity and lack of quality education bedevilling the country emphasised that the ruling party had failed the masses, which requires an immediate rescue by citizens and leaders of good conscience.

Aregbesola also stressed that ADC represents the best alternative to propel the developmental yearnings and aspirations of Osun citizens and residents, urging them to support the party.

“This government has scored A1 in Politics and F9 in Good Governance. This is what our party is out to address.

“There are 37,000 kilometres of federal roads in Nigeria. Over 76% of those roads are not motorable. Instead of the government to fix those roads, it is concentrating on a coastal highway that will not benefit the economic situation of the country.

“The present government at the centre has failed in the realm of Security, Economy and Education which are the major yardsticks of measuring the performance indices. This is what our great party, ADC seeks to address.

“When we were in Osun, our government concentrated heavily on the masses. We fed over 50,000 children, empowered more than 60,000 youths, introduced people friendly and welfarist policies that reduced hunger to the barest minimum. This is what we want to return when you vote for us in 2026.

“Continue to preach the gospel of the ADC across all divides, cities and villages in Ila Federal Constituency. ADC is the party that will bring governance more closer to the grassroots,” Aregbesola said.

In separate remarks, Osun ADC Chairman, Dr. Charles Omidiji, Chairman, Omoluabi Progressives, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, Senator Felix Ogunwale, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Dr. Najeem Salaam, among others appealed to party members to work assiduously for ADC’s victory in subsequent elections.

They thanked them for their resilience and support over the years, stressing that only the party presents credible individuals that are capable to raise the bar of good governance for the benefit of the masses.

Similarly, Hon. Kamil Akinlabi, the Chairman, Membership Registration, Revalidation and Mobilisation Committee of the party in Osun State urged all members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to actively participate in the membership registration and revalidation exercise of the party, starting officially tomorrow.

Receiving the entourage in his palace, the Orangun of Ila, Oba AbdulWahab Kayode Bibire I acknowledged the sterling achievements of Aregbesola’s administration (2010-2018), whose legacies he described as unmatched in the history of Osun.
