For Marriage to be successful, there must be leaving before cleaving -Dr Chris Okafor

Marriage is very important because it was God who joined the first wedding and whatever God is involved in is very important.

Pastor Chris Okafor made this remark while speaking on Part 2 of his series on marriage with the topic “Wisdom for Marital Relationships” on Sunday 16 February 2025 at the Divine Intervention and Breakthrough Services held at the International Headquarters of Grace Nation world-wide aka Liberation City in Ojodu Berger Lagos Nigeria.

The Man of God said marriage is so important because it was God himself that instituted it. He also remarked that the first miracle carried out by Jesus Christ was at a wedding ceremony, therefore marriage is very significant in the life of men.

The Generational Prophet of God further said that marriage is so important, even though it was spiritual but God uses flesh to redeem it in the lives of couples.

Highlighting the foundational truth about marriage, the Apostle of Altars said marriage was instituted for security and safety for the parties involved. He said the relationship between couples is like a relationship between flesh and bone, therefore for a marriage to be successful, there must be leaving before cleaving.

Speaking on the importance of marital relationships with wisdom for exploit, Dr Okafor said you must trust God for a partner who truly loves and fear God.

“Every true child of God will be a good husband or wife. Decide to marry someone you can listen to and trust in his counsel, again marry someone who truly cares, loves and values your family. In your marriage, don’t allow any form of abuse, be friendly to your partners; your husband or wife must be your closest confidant and spend quality time together to achieve marriage relationships bond.”

About 170 miracle babies were released by God through his servant at the Divine Intervention and Breakthrough Services. Elohim remembers awaiting mothers while a word was sent forth by his servant that by this time next year, dedication of twins, triplets, bouncing baby boys and girls will fill the air.
