Lagos Island Council Chairman, Alade Appoints Famous YouTuber, Ajagbe as Media Aide

The Executive Chairman of Lagos Island East LCDA, Hon. Muib Alade Folawiyo has appointed famous YouTuber Ajagbe Adeyemi Teslim as his Media Aide.

Ajagbe is now the Senior Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman on Digital Communications.

This was made known on Wednesday in a statement issue by the council chairman, Hon. Muib Alade Folawiyo and duly signed by his Chief of Staff Hon. Jubrila Kabiawu l. The appointment takes immediate effect.

Ajagbe is the publisher of popular online platforms known as August24news.com and it’s sister YouTube channel August24news Tv.

August24news Tv Channel is a Google accredited and certified channel on YouTube with over 5,000 subscribers and over 55,000 views.

Ajagbe is known for his brilliant hardworking and versatile reportage and had distinguished himself in the media profession as a reporter, Business Editor and Political Editor before establishing August24news TV.

Ajagbe was also a former two term councilorship aspirant from ward E3 in Lagos Island East LCDA under the rulling All Progressive congress (APC).

According to the chairman, Ajagbe’s appointment is based on his political affiliation with his administration and years of experience in the Online digital Journalism which is much needed to support his administration.

Speaking further on the rationale behind the appointment and the conferment of the office digital communications, the council boss stated that it is base on his contribution to the youth development in Lagos Island on the use of digital communication which will foster quick information to it’s constituents members.

According to the council boss, Ajagbe is the most qualified, experienced, and prepared for the assignment. He also flaunts an unrivaled track record, capacity, and pedigree, he has the qualities, experience, and capacity for the assignment. This is someone who has been managing his creadible online platform for over One and half decades.

He is also a man who has, over the years, displayed professionalism in his career.

“Ajagbe is a well-known achiever, a young and vibrant man who understands the Renewed Hope agenda and has demonstrated distinction over the years.

All of this has given us much hope that he would deliver and we shall achieve the Island of our dreams.

Expressing his gratitude to the council Chairman, Ajagbe thanked Hon. Folawiyo for giving him the opportunity to serve under his administration as he promised to bring his vast journalism experience to promote the activities of the council in the next two years.

Reacting to the Appointment in a telephone Interview, Lagos State Deputy Chairman of the rulling All Progressive Congress, (APC) Hon. Moshood Mayegun extend gratitude to the council chairman for deeming it fit to appoint Ajagbe as his digital communication aide claiming that appointing a young and vibrant Ajagbe is like a round peg in a round hole believing that Ajagbe will perform more than expectations.

Ajagbe’s appointment as the SSA will be the 47 Senior Special Assistant SSA on the list of others that has been appointed so far into different positions since the inception of Hon. Muib Alade Folawiyo Administration.
