The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), Rev. (Amb) Samuel Ikpea, is expected to make history in the coming days, as he will be officially signed and unveiled as the African Representative of Bahia based Africano football club.

Ikpea who is on a football business visit to Brazil, was appointed the Santos FC Ambassador to Nigeria in 2022, met with the office of the Mayor of Santos, Brazil, on Friday to discussĀ  plans to strengthen relationships, he also met the Councilor of Santos, Chita Menezes who represented the Mayor, to discuss exchange programmes on culture, education and sports.

Ikpea was later taken on a tour of the living room and museum of the late iconic and world’s greatest footballer, Arantes Dos Nascimento, fondly known as King Pele, where he took adoring pictures with the images of the late footballer.

He later decorated Chita Menezes, with the beautiful regalia of the world’s famous football fans group, the Nigeria Football Supporters Club.

An obviously elated Ikpea, who was effusive in appreciation of the warm reception he received from his hosts, was quick to remark that the event was an elixir that would certainly make him give more services to Nigeria football.

“This honour is priceless. It is amazing that my contributions to the development and empowerment of Nigerian youths through football, is recognised in faraway Brazil.

“The lukewarm attitudes of Nigerians to selfless services is very painful and unfortunate. However, I shall not be dettered or discouraged, as I promise to continue to contribute my quota to the development and growth of Nigeria,” Ikpea added.
