Nigerian final year Student in UK threatens to commit suicide, calls out Zenith Bank

A Nigerian student studying in Greenwich University, UK, has blamed Zenith Bank for letting the school withdraw him in his final year.

The embittered student, who called out Zenith Bank on Twitter, lamented how the Bank refused to pay his tuition, despite having a green light from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) since August 2022.

In his Tweets, which have generated reactions, the student said “after spending over 30 million naira on my studies, I finally got withdrawn in my final year just because @ZenithBank refused to credit my university for a transaction that was approved in August 2022. Sad.

“I have been withdrawn from the University in the UK on Monday because @ZenithBank refused to treat my form that was approved by CBN in August 2022, fortunately for me, the University has given me the grace till Friday 04/11/2022 to pay and be reinstated but @ZenithBank is not responding to my emails nor process my transaction. I think I would rather commit suicide than be deported back to Nigeria in my final year. It is really sad.

“Why don’t you people have human feeling for God sake. I have been withdrawn from the University of Greenwich yesterday just because you refused to process my tuition fee that was approved since August till November, now today University just give me the grace to pay before Friday and I would be reinstated but it sucks that you people still not responding nor reply emails. Why is everything about Nigeria so terrible haha.”
