PHOTOS: Al-Istijab Society holds 14th anniversary, honours eminent Nigerians

The Al-Istijab Society of Nigeria, held its 14th year anniversary on Sunday, 15 January, 2023 at Zapass LILG, Freeman Street, Lagos Island amid pomp and ceremony.

Some eminent Nigerians were turbaned and honoured with merit awards at the event. The one year remembrance of Sheikh Al-Imam Shuaib Abdulsalam, Chief Imam of Moraba Central Mosque, Ilorin was also observed.

The new Chief Imam of Moraba Central Mosque, Ilorin, who was the guest lecturer, extolled the virtues of Allah and urged all Muslims to intensify their efforts in following the steps of the holy prophets by being good to humanity.

In his own address, Al-Imam Mahmoud Moshood Olanrewaju, the host and missioner, Al-Istijab Society of Nigeria, spoke on the society’s journey so far, and thanked Almighty Allah for being the pillar of its sustenance.

He also thanked some individuals for their indefatigable support over the years, including the now late Sheikh Al-Imam Shuaib Abdulsalam, former Chief Imam of Moraba Central Mosque, Ilorin.

Al-Imam Mahmoud Moshood Olanrewaju promised that Al-Istijab Society will constantly propagate the religion of Islam the way it should be done, and would not stop honouring deserving members.

Among those who were turbaned are; Alhaji Yusuf Hossein (Farul-Ulammahu Al-Istijab), Alh Saheed Giwa (Sanmori Adini Al-Istijab), Alh Musbau Mustapha (Otun Sanmori Adini Al-Istijab), Alhaja Azeezat Ibrahim Babatunde (Otun Arowosadini Al-Istijab), Alh Sarat Adenike Eweje (Balogun Adini Al-Istijab) and Alh Rukayat Abd’Waheed Animashaun (Otun Balogun Adini Al-Istijab).

Those who received merit awards include; Imam Dr. Abd’Rasheed Adekunle Ajose (Chief Imam Alaluquran Central Mosque), Imam Abd’Hameed Mohammed and Alh Abd’Wasiu Shittu.

Others are Alh Ibrahim Abd’Lahi Cisse, Alh Abd’Raheem Babatunde Teddy, Alh Shairat Ashabi Musibau, Barr. Tawaalitu Robert Musa and Alh Rukayat Ajoke Adebayo.
