As the Celestial Church of Christ worldwide marks the 40th remembrance of its founding father, the late Rev. Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, Prophet Kingsley Aitafo has delivered a powerful prophetic message urging members to retrace their steps and recommit to the spiritual foundation laid by the patriarch.
Papa Oshoffa, fondly remembered as a humble servant of God, founded the Celestial Church of Christ in 1947 and dedicated his life to preaching Jesus Christ, teaching the Word of God, and demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit. Known for his compassion and unwavering faith, he constantly reminded his followers of “Enito ran mi” — the One who sent me.
In his message, Prophet Kingsley Aitafo stressed that this 40th remembrance marks a prophetic turning point for the church:
“Just as the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years before entering the Promised Land, this is our moment of transition. The Celestial Church must now rise, return fully to the God whom Papa Oshoffa served, and embrace the dictates of the Holy Spirit. Only then can we fulfill the true purpose for which God raised His servant and established this church.”
He urged members not to let the remembrance be reduced to ceremony, but to see it as a call to renewal, revival, and unity.
“Papa Oshoffa’s legacy is not only in his works but in his spirit of humility, love, and obedience to God. If we truly honor him today, we must live by those values and continue the mission of winning souls for Christ.”
The 40th remembrance of Papa Oshoffa, according to Prophet Aitafo, is both a celebration of history and a prophetic call for the Celestial Church of Christ to embrace its divine assignment for the next generation.
