CSP Augustina Ikeh has stated that security is every citizen’s business in order to protect our lives and properties.
She made this assertion during a stakeholders meeting and interactive session held at Abattoir Police Station with community leaders recently.
At the interactive session, members of the community were urged to always report unfamiliar people within and around their community and if the need be, challenge any suspicious movement they believe could pose a treat to them or rather they should report such an individual to the police for prompt action.
Speaking during the occasion, chairman of the stakeholders/PCRC forum Otunba O. Ayo urged members of the public to always give useful information to the police, adding that any information given to the police will be treated with confidence.
“I want to urge you all to always come forward with useful information to the police as such information will be handled with confidence”.
Vice chairman of the stakeholders and police public relation committee Alhaji Adekunle Kaka pleaded with those in attendance to make sure they attend such gathering all the time because it is an avenue to share information and learn one or two things from others.
The host CSP Augustina Ikeh thanked all the attendees for their attendance and urged them to share the information gathered during the occasion with those who did not find time to attend.
