SHOW OF SHAME: LASTMA OFFICIALS FIGHT DIRTY OVER N100

Graphic pictures of two officials of the  Lagos State Traffic Management  Authority (LASTMA) fighting passengers in a commercial vehicle going from Ikeja to Obalende over N100.00 bribe has flooded social media.

According to report, the LASTMA officials with name tag  E. A. Fagbuyi and N. Oladega accosted the bus driver at Toll Gate (7up) bus-stop, along Berger road in the Lagos metropolis.

The bus driver was accused of boycotting them since last week and demanded money for the supposed ‘offense’.

The bus conductor disclosed that the LASTMA officials were seeking N100 bribe, and things took a different turn after Fagbuyi took charge of the vehicle and began heading to an unknown location.

It was also reported that the heated argument degenerated into a physical combat after the passengers protested.

Officer Oladega therefore assaulted one of the passengers identified as Sandra and also broke her phone screen during the fight.

When Sandra demanded that her phone should be repaired, the officials allegedly threatened to harm her.

Sandra, a passenger in the bus told our correspondent at the scene that “I have been molested and I can’t take it. I was receiving a call when one of the officials came to drag my phone and threw it on the floor.

“He broke the screen already. These guys are thugs and should not be accommodated in Lagos.”
