In the heart of Abeokuta, Ogun State, a young girl’s story of hardship and resilience has touched the hearts of many. Miss Elizabeth Fatoki, an 18-year-old student of Igbore High School, has faced unimaginable challenges after her father, Mr. Fatoki, was involved in a fatal accident on October 27, 2022. The accident left him unable to work, plunging his family into dire financial hardship.
With no stable source of income and a family to support, Elizabeth was forced into desperate measures to survive. In her struggle to provide for her ailing father and younger siblings, she has allegedly raped by a mallam and she had unplanned pregnancy for the known miscreant. Left to fend for herself and her newborn, Elizabeth’s situation became even more unbearable. The child, now a few months old, has been surviving on nothing but pap due to the family’s lack of resources.
However, hope came knocking when the TM Foundation encountered Elizabeth during one of their school outreach programs. Moved by her heartbreaking story, the foundation immediately took action to support the young mother and her child.
In a remarkable act of generosity, TM Foundation has stepped in to:
✅ Provide food supplies for Elizabeth and her baby
✅ Cover her school fees to ensure she continues her education
✅ Settle her outstanding hospital bills
✅ Arrange proper medical care for the child, ensuring a healthier future
Elizabeth’s story is a tragic reminder of the struggles many young girls face due to economic hardship, but it is also a testament to the power of kindness and intervention. The TM Foundation remains committed to transforming lives and restoring hope to the less privileged.
