Who is Hon Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe (ABA)? By Olamide Adetu

As a Commissioner, he believes that wealth creation, employment opportunities and human capacity development are the major foundations upon which strategic sustainable development of Lagos State state can be achieved.

He enjoys contributing his quota to overall growth and development, using his skills in developing and implementing effective strategies for managing projects to support the “THEMES+ Agenda” of Lagos State Governor prior to his appointment as the Special Adviser (Non Cabinet) to the Governor of Lagos State on community development, where he drove the strategic vision for community development projects.

Hon Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe (ABA) started his professional career at Daily Times Nigeria in 2000 and spent more than three years where he worked as an Advert Sales Executive and later moved on to join International Payment Devices Limited as Sales Executive.

In 2011 Hon Ajigbotafe joined active politics and he was an aspirant for Lagos State House of Assembly in Alimosho Constituency 01 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2014. He’s a proactive, seasoned and dedicated professional with over 17 years experience providing comprehensive, administrative marketing and operational support to organizations. He proceeded to join Ferland Global and Multi-investment Limited (A real estate company) as the Marketing Head in 2016 -2018.
In 2018, he was made the Chairman Sub-Committee under the directorate of mobilization for Governor Babajide Sanwoolu campaign organization.

In 2019, Hon Ajigbotafe was an aspirant again for the Lagos State House of Assembly Alimosho constituency 01 under APC.

He enjoys focusing on the topics regarding sustainable wealth creation and employment opportunities that result in national socio-economic transformation.

Despite all the difficulties he faced during his aspiration, he never gave up; he continues to put smiles on so many community and party members …that is what brought the nickname “AJIGBOTEGBE”. It shows that he is a man of the people who knows where shoes pinches them.
In 2023, he became Special Adviser to the Governor on Community. During the short period in the office, he toured around all the communities in Lagos State which never happened before. He dedicated his time, energy and never compromised. His activity and humbleness made him become Commissioner for Wealth and Employment Creation in Lagos State. Since he became commissioner, he has never become Office sit commissioner, but always strategizes and brainstorm on how unemployment and poverty will reduce to zero in Lagos state.
