Jesse Derry, a teenage Chelsea forward, was taken to hospital as a precaution after suffering a head injury in the 3-1 Premier League loss to Nottingham Forest.
On Monday, the 18-year-old collided with opponent Zach Abbott in the Forest penalty area in the 45th minute while making his Premier League debut.
He was given oxygen on the play before being taken off on a stretcher during a lengthy delay.

Chelsea stated in a statement that Derry is “conscious, talking, and undergoing precautionary measures.”
After the match, Chelsea caretaker manager Callum McFarlane stated, “We’re hopeful he’s in good condition and from what we’ve heard it’s positive.
“I feel bad for Jesse since I thought he did well in the game. He threatened us – a huge moment for him that unfortunately ended.”
Derry, the son of former Leeds and Crystal Palace midfielder Shaun Derry, was making his first start for the club after appearing twice from the bench in the FA Cup this season.
Since joining Crystal Palace last summer, the England Under-19 winger has 12 goals in 29 academy games this season.
Chelsea was given a penalty after their clash of heads, but Cole Palmer’s spot-kick was saved by Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels.
Derry was replaced by Liam Delap, who entered as a concussion substitution.
