Ekiti State Football Ecosystem Congratulates Hon. Oyebode On His Appointment

Ekiti State Football Ecosystem is ecstatic over the appointment of a major contributor to the development and present enviable position of EkitiFootball, Hon. Akintunde Oyebode, as he was appointed as the State Commissioner of Finance and Economic Development. 

Vastly experienced and highly resourceful, Hon. Akintunde Oyebode, is the son of the globally renowned Professor of Law, Akin Oyebode, whose imprints in the political and socio-economic development of Ekiti State and Nigeria, remain indelible. 

Following the footprints of his father, Hon. Oyebode has equally created a platform for youth development and empowerment through the annual ‘Prof Akin Oyebode Cup’, a football competition for Secondary Schools in the Ekiti State, which he and the family sponsors. 

Speaking on the appointment, Chairman of Ekiti State Football Association, Bayo Olanlege said he was excited and happy, that Governor Abiodun Oyebanji has decidedly put a very resourceful person in charge of one the most important portfolios in his government. 

“On behalf of all critical stakeholders and the entire Ekiti State Football Ecosystem, I want to express our gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Abiodun Oyebanji on the appointment of Hon. Akin Oyebode, which we truly believe was hinged on the thoughtfulness and belief of His Excellency, in the holistic development of Ekiti State, in all of its ramifications.

“We also believe that this new appointment of Hon. Akintunde Oyebode, is a further call to service. And which, of course, would spur him into further selfless quality services and contributions to the continual development of Ekiti State and Nigeria, in general,” the youthful and awards winning Ekiti State FA boss remarked.
