Lagos Set Up Incident Station At Scene Of Pedestrian Bridge Collapse

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has set up a temporary incident station at the scene of the Alapere pedestrian bridge which was destroyed by a truck on Thursday.

This was revealed in a statement signed by the LASEMA Director-general, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, on the agency’s Facebook page on Sunday.

The statement was titled, ‘Update Regarding The Ketu Pedestrian Bridge Incident At Estate Bus Stop, Alapere, Ketu.’

It read, “Following the destruction of the pedestrian bridge at the above location and in line with the Lagos State Emergency Response Plan, LASEMA has activated a temporary incident station at the scene to cater to any potential fallout from Friday’s unfortunate event.

“A fully staffed ambulance and a response vehicle will be in place for the next 24 hours. Members of the public are urged to stay calm.”
