GOtv Boxing Night 30: Ansah Vows To Beat Olowu In Front Of Lagos Fans

Hard-punching Ghanaian boxer, Michael Ansah, has vowed to outpunch his Nigerian opponent, Taiwo “Gentle Boy” Olowu, to the West African Boxing Union (WABU) super welterweight title at GOtv Boxing Night 30.

Ansah will take on Olowu at the event slated for the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, on December 26.

The Ghanaian, who has 23 wins, 12 defeats, and three draws from his 38 professional fights, said he won’t be intimidated by the Lagos fans.

“I have been through many difficult moments as a boxer, the Lagos fans won’t count for an advantage. I’m confident that I will claim the title. The title is why I’m coming to Lagos, nothing more,” he said.

Olowu, who holds the national welterweight title, has a record of 15 wins and one defeat from his 16 professional fights.

The night will also feature five other bouts, including a national super flyweight title fight between Sifon “Best” Iwatt, and Saheed Azeez.

Female national cruiserweight champion, Bolatito “Black Tito” Oluwole, will face Blessing Abisoye, in a national challenge fight; Arabambi Ojo and Ibrahim “Golden Boy” Opeyemi will slug it out in a national bantamweight challenge bout; Abdulafeez “Big Name” Osoba, will square up against Christopher Ucheji in a national super welterweight challenge fight, while Ayanfe Adeoye and Ahmed Ganiyu, will duel in the national light welterweight category.
