Don’t Allow Religion to Divide Nigeria – Dr Ewenla Warns

A Chiefain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Adedipe Dauda Ewenla, has urged Nigerians to continue to hold on to the democratic ideals of equity which are the core objectives of nation building.
Dr Ewenla said truly, he believes in Oodua Republic, but prefers peace to bloodshed.
In his Independence Day message, Dr Ewenla reiterated that “we must all ensure, as patriotic citizens, to deepen our democracy and contribute to the progress and development of our nation.”
He also called on Nigerians not to allow religion to divide the country but to stand up for the promotion and dignity of humanity as well as mutual respect for one another.
In a congratulatory message to Nigerians and his party members, PDP, Prince Amb Dr Adedipe Dauda Ewenla said that they should give all the glory to the Almighty God for keeping Nigeria as one to see her 60th birthday anniversary.
“I will use this medium to appreciate my wife, Chief Mrs Adedipe Modupe Oyinlola and the efforts of Dr Gani Adams, the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, for his selfless service and his fatherly role. I also appreciate Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Olabode George, Otunba Segun Adewale, Dr Agboola Dominic, Alhaji Abass Sholagbade, Chief Olaniyan, Otunba Busari Ayinde and other PDP leaders and elders. May the Almighty continue to equip them with wisdom and knowledge.”
In related development, Dr Adedipe Dauda Ewenla is among the dignitaries that have been confirmed for the Nigerian Football Supporters Club 2020 Investiture award slated for October. He will be honour Ed as a Sport Ambassador.
The Nigeria football supporters club says this year’s edition will give its award in five categories which include: Rev Samuel Ikpea, National Chairman, Nigeria Football Supporter’s club and others .
According to the Secretary General, Kunle Adeniyi Esq, Nigeria football supporters club has been in existence since 1955, cheering all our National teams to victory during football matches locally and internationally.
The club has won serveal laurels as best behaved supporters’ club to the country both at FIFA and CAF level respectively.
