Rape Scandal: Pastor Fatoyinbo wants Court to Dismiss Bisola’s Suit

Biodun Fatoyinbo, the pastor of Abuja based church, COZA, who was accused of rape by Bisola Dakolo, wife of Nigeria’s musician, Timi Dakolo, has asked an Abuja High Court dismiss the case instituted by his accuser.

On Friday, Fatoyinbo’s lawyer, Alex Izinyon filed the request in a preliminary objection and also wants N50 million damage cost paid to him.  

In an affidavit deposed to by Ademola Adetuberu, Executive Senior Assistant to Pastor Fatoyinbo, he said Mrs Dakolo filed her suit over an allegation of rape which she claimed caused her psychological and emotional distress as a result of it.

The affidavit further stated that Mrs Dakolo’s allegation of rape is before the Nigeria Police and still a subject of investigation. “That a suit of this nature is statute barred after a period of three years. The reliefs claimed by the Claimant in the suit clearly fall within the limitation law,” he said in the affidavit.
