Bose Ogulu Defends Burna Boy, Says His Temperament Comes With The Artistry

The mother and manager of Afrobeats star Burna Boy, Bose Ogulu has spoken on her son’s personality, saying people should allow room for his behavior despite the controversies that often trail him.
This came during an interview session on Channels TV with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, she pointed out that her own online conduct is different from his.
She compared the Grammy winner to a woven fabric, explaining that if you tug too hard at one part of him, the entire personality could fall apart.
“You can always tell when it’s me tweeting and when it’s Burna tweeting. What I’ve realized about people like him is that they’re like a tapestry. Pull one thread too hard and the whole thing unravels,” she said.
According to her, fans must accept Burna Boy as he is because the same intensity behind his outbursts is also what fuels the qualities they admire in him.
“So you have to give space for him to be himself, because the same emotion that drives the things you love about him is what drives the other parts too. Behind the scenes, we do our best. Anytime he gets carried away on Instagram Live, I’ll just go and collect his phone from him,” she added.
