Top Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Shuaibu Buried In Ilorin

Top Islamic scholar, Sheikh Alhaji Shuaibu Abdulsalam, the Chief Imam of Maraba Central Mosque, Ilorin, has been buried. 

The popular Islamic cleric died on Wednesday, 5 January, 2022 after a brief illness, and was buried same day according to Islamic rites. 

Sheikh Shuaibu Abdulsalam was a well loved scholar, who mentored many young Islamic students with his wise teachings. 

Imam Moshood Olarewaju Mamudu, the Chief Missionary of Al-Istijab Society of Nigeria and Chief Imam of Raji Elewe Mosque, Lagos Island, described the late Sheikh Shuaibu as a committed teacher who lived a simple life worthy of emulation. 

Imam Moshood notes that “Baba touched the lives of thousands of people positively with his teachings, and his humanitarian heart of giving was second to none. This is evident with the crowd that thronged out to give him their last respect during the burial. He was indeed a very humble and good man of God.”
