The launch event, held in Abuja under the theme “Telehealth & Healthcare Partnership,” unveiled a platform that enables citizens to receive comprehensive medical consultations directly from their mobile phones, eliminating barriers of distance and cost.
This innovative service is powered by strategic international partnerships with India’s leading medical technology and healthcare providers, including Tirubaa Technology, Asian Super Speciality Hospital, and Panacea.
Speaking at the event,x the founder of Home Health, Mr. Sam Adejoh Okedi, outlined the vision behind the initiative. “Our goal is to create a continental footprint in healthcare delivery. The beauty of telehealth is that we can provide quality consultations from right here in Nigeria to patients across Africa. This system saves cost, time, and, most importantly, lives,” he stated. Okedi further emphasized the economic impact, estimating that nationwide adoption of telehealth could save the Nigerian economy up to $10 billion annually by reducing lost manpower, preventing the spread of contagious diseases, and lowering mortality rates.

Dr. Joy Audu, a Medical Practitioner and Public Health Advocate, shared a harrowing anecdote of a patient who died after a desperate call for help went unanswered. “This innovation is a very welcome agenda that will provide the immediate support so desperately needed in our healthcare system,” Dr. Audu affirmed.
Ms. Catherine Ajefu of the Warrior Sickle Cell organization, which has over 200 registered children, expressed great hope for the program. Having come from a background affected by Sickle Cell herself, she believes the application will be a vital lifeline for patients managing chronic conditions.
The political will to support this digital healthcare transformation was also confirmed. Hon. David Idris Zakaria, representing the Idah Federal Constituency, praised the initiative’s simplicity and accessibility. “This is a welcome idea. As lawmakers, we are already engaged in the process of proposing a bill to protect patient information and ensure this innovation is supported by robust legislation. There is no cause for alarm; we are ready to make this law for the benefit of our people,” he announced.
