Actor, Yul Edochie, on Tuesday, countered skit maker, Debo Adedayo aka Mr Macaroni, over his admonition to Nigerians not to sell their votes, saying, Nigerians are the ones who demand money.
Earlier on Tuesday, Mr Macaroni advised Nigerians to avoid politicians who offer them money in exchange for their votes, claiming that they would not serve them, when they get into office.
He tweeted, āAny politician offering you money in exchange for your vote is not going to serve you. They are only investing. If they get into office, they will loot the Nationās treasury which rightfully belongs to the people. Do not vote in thieves and looters! They are destroyers.ā
Quoting his tweet, the actor revealed that he used to think that politicians were the ones offering money until he got into politics and realised people were the ones demanding money.
Edochie said, āI used to think itās the politicians that offer money until I joined politics and ran for office.
āMy eyes opened.
Itās mainly the people that demand money from the politicians and put them in a tight corner where they must find money by all means to share or fail.ā
