Davido Wins Album Of The Year At AFRIMMA 2026
Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has won Album of the Year at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA, for his project 5IVE.
The win was announced today via AFRIMMA’s official Instagram page.
The award ceremony and music festival held on September 12, 2026, at the Annette Strauss Square in Dallas, Texas.

Davido went into the night as the most-nominated artiste with five nominations.
His album 5IVE clinched the top prize ahead of a strong lineup of contenders including Black Sherif’s Top of The Morning Era, Omah Lay’s Clarity of Mind, Asake’s M$NEY, Tyla’s A-Pop, Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness, Lloyiso’s Never Thought I Could, Leigh-Anne’s My Ego Told Me To, and Himra’s SORRY I’M BAD.
In addition to Album of the Year, the DMW boss also bagged nominations for Artiste of the Year, Best Male West Africa, and the Crossing Boundaries With Music Award.
Meanwhile this year’s edition of AFRIMMA once again spotlighted a banner year for African music, with leading acts from West Africa, South Africa and the diaspora competing across major categories.
