2023: Group Urges Tinubu to Contest as President

A group of Nigerian youths have urged the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to contest as president in 2023.
The youths, who spoke in an Inaugural/Independence day program themed; “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Struggle for True Federalism: Perspectives, Problems and Prospects” said they would not forget the dividends of democracy the people of Lagos enjoyed when Bola Ahmed Tinubu was steering the wheel in Lagos as the Governor between 1999-2007.
The group, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Crusade Organisation (ABATCO), who spoke through their National Convener Comrade Ayeni Oluwaseun Samuel in Oshodi said they would support him in any political decision he takes to give the nation good governance.
“The good governance template put forward by him in Lagos is still working for the State and served other states well till tomorrow, hence this mediate our decisions to call upon him to put himself forward as anchor of good governance for the nation come 2023,” Ayeni said.
Other notable speakers at the event are; Comrade Adewale Balogun of Yoruba Youths Revolutionary Movement,(YOREM), Hon. Olujimi Lai-Mohammed, Member Lagos State House of Assembly, Dr. Abatan from Department of Political Sciences, LASU and the Chief Host of the program, Hon.Idris Bolaji Museh Ariyo, The Executive Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government.
Ayeni said ABATCO was formed about 10 months ago by youths of like-minds from the nation’s six regions. -Reported by Dedeigbo Ayodeji
