I Supported Tinubu Because Nigerians Bullied Me – Bimbo Akintola
Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has revealed that she was pushed to publicly support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last presidential election because of online bullying over political choices.
The actress made the disclosure in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, where she criticized Nigerians for attacking people over their political preferences.
According to her, the backlash veteran actress Joke Silva faced for supporting Tinubu also influenced her decision to openly declare her support for the APC presidential candidate.

“I supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last election because Nigerians annoyed me with their bullying,” Akintola said.
She recalled being angered by the inhumane comments directed at Silva, which prompted her to make her own video in support of Tinubu.
“They bullied Aunty Joke to the point that someone wrote something that was so inhumane. So, I made a video and said, ‘I’m also supporting Tinubu, kill me, let me see if you can change my mind,’” she said.
Akintola therefore pleaded by advising Nigerians to respect differing political views and stop bullying others for their choices.
