Nkechi Blessing, Phyna Set For Celebrity Boxing Fight
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing and reality TV star Phyna are set to face off in a celebrity boxing match on October 1, 2026.
The fight, tagged ‘Phyna vs Nkechi’, will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos as part of the ‘Chaos in the Ring’ series organised by Balmoral Group Promotions.
The fight follows a recent online exchange between both stars. Nkechi had criticized Phyna for frequently engaging in online confrontations, claiming she “fights with everybody,” while Phyna questioned what prompted the actress’s remarks.

Also on the same night, Carter Efe and Speed Darlington are scheduled to clash in another celebrity boxing fight.
The upcoming fights come amid a growing trend of Nigerian celebrities settling public disputes in the ring.
In May, Carter Efe secured a unanimous decision victory over singer Portable after a heated press conference build-up, while Darlington also faced Portable in 2025 following a dispute over performance fees.
That feud began after Darlington offered Portable N500,000 to perform at an event, an offer Portable declined while mocking him.
The exchange escalated after Darlington accused Portable of insulting his mother, leading to a challenge that ended in a first-round TKO win for Portable after Darlington failed to answer the bell for the second round.
