Kamo State Addresses Funke Akindele’s Absence From Premiere
Popular Nigerian Content creator and actor Akinyoola Ayoola, popularly known as Kamo State, has cleared the air over Funke Akindele’s absence from the premiere of his new movie, STARLOMO.
Speculations had trailed the social media and public space as the actress was absence, with many fans suggesting a rift between the two.
Reacting to the rumours, Kamo State said he and Funke Akindele, whom he fondly calls Iyamii, are on good terms.

According to him, the filmmaker missed the premiere simply because she was out of the country and nothing more.
In a post shared on X (formally twitter), he stated that, “I woke up to see different opinions online about Iyamii and myself. Please we’re on good terms. She missed my premiere simply because she wasn’t in the country and nothing more to it, so please don’t assume otherwise.”
He therefore added that they have spoken about it and she will be supporting the film, while urging fans to stop speculating about their personal relationship and focus on the project.
“I’d appreciate it if our personal relationship isn’t speculated on. Let’s keep our focus on the film, STARLOMO is coming this Friday. See y’all at the box office!”
