GehGeh Slams Burna Boy Over Expensive Car Purchase
Prominent Nigerian social commentator, GehGeh, has criticized Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy over his recent luxury car purchase, describing it as a financial mistake amid economic hardship in the country.
The relationship and financial adviser stated this in a video on his official X handle (formally twitter), yesterday.
GehGeh questioned the singer’s decision to spend billions of naira on a car in a country with bad roads and widespread hunger.

“Burna Boy, that your car wey you buy eh, call Aboki iron condemn make them come carry that financial mistake wey you buy from your compound. It’s a shame. I no believe when I see that video. Call Aboki now. I’m giving 24 hours,” he said.
Speaking further, he argued that the car has no benefit to Nigerians and shows a lack of concern for the state of the nation.
“That car you buy what benefit is it to me as a Nigerian. You carry billions of Naira go buy car wey no get use to you and the country you come from. You buy car with billions of naira for this country wey you dey, there’s no good road,” he added.
GehGeh therefore accused wealthy celebrities of being indifferent to Nigeria’s problems, saying that, “This is why some of una go make money you go think say whether the country better or e no better e no concern you. You don go buy car where the road to drive am? Nigerians are hungry and you are buying a car.”
