Davido Is Most Influential Nigerian Under 40 – Asa Asika

Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, has described the Afrobeats star as the most influential Nigerian under the age of 40.

Speaking on Manager’s Playbook, Asika said Davido’s dominance on social media is unmatched, noting that the 33-year-old Grammy-nominated singer remains the most followed artiste across almost all platforms.

“Davido is probably the most influential person from Nigeria below the age of 40, in my opinion. Social media-wise, there’s no argument. Some people might debate it, but let’s use the most popular metric, which is social media. David is probably the most followed artiste on almost every platform,” he noted.

Asika, who is also co-founder of The Plug Entertainment, added that he often jokes with Davido about his influence, telling him he is like the “president of Nigeria.”

The talent manager further recalled how Davido survived difficult moments that could have ended the career of other artistes, describing him as a “walking billboard” whose commercial appeal continues to attract major brands.
