I’m fulfilled, says actor Victor Edogun after daughter’s marriage 

Veteran Nollywood actor, Victor Edogun, has described himself a fulfilled man, after his beautiful daughter, Clarion Ekinadese, got married to her heartthrob, Damilare Oke in Lagos over the weekend. 

The wedding, held at Whitely Events Centre, Surulere on Saturday, 19 March, 2022, had in attendance captains of industry, and Mr Edogun’s Nollywood colleagues were not left out.

Asked how he felt giving out the hand of his daughter in marriage, an elated Edogun said “Fulfilled. Because that’s the scriptural injunction by GOD; train your child the way he/she should go and he/ she will not depart from it.”

Edogun noted that “Also, a daughter/son shall depart from their parents and cling unto their spouses in holy matrimony… And the two shall become ONE FLESH!

“Her mother and I brought her up in the way of the LORD and trained academically till completion with a laudable second class upper from the prestigious University of Benin, missing 1st class by a dot, just one credit point in Political Science and Business Administration.

“She was not swayed by the avarice of the times. Remain highly morally upright, God-fearing and Humanity serving,” the proud father asserted.

Mr Edogun, who has featured in many classic Nigerian flicks, has described the development as one of the happiest moments of his life. 

Meanwhile, ‘Two Officers’ and ‘Bold’, two literature books written by Victor Edogun, have been approved into the Nigerian secondary school curriculum for 2020-2024 academic sessions. 

As an author, Edogun has proved his mettle with works like ‘Save Today,’ a critically acclaimed novel on terrorism that went viral online in 2013. He also has works like ‘Bold’ – a romantic classic and ‘Poetic Experience’ – a catalogue of poems highlighting Nigeria’s democratic hopes and travails.
