Victor AD Apologises To Tiwa Savage Publicly

Nigerian singer Victor Adere, popularly known as Victor AD, has tendered a public apology to award-winning songstress Tiwa Savage.

In an open letter shared on X (formally twitter) yesterday, the 32-year-old appreciated Tiwa Savage for recording a verse on the remix of his 2018 hit single ‘Wetin We Gain’, which was never released.

Victor AD admitted responsibility for his past actions, noting that he should have taken accountability much earlier.

According to him, while there were several reasons why the remix did not drop, none justifies the effort, love and creativity the Afrobeats queen invested in the record.

“An Open Letter to Mama Jam Jam, @TiwaSavage ❤️ I should have done this a long time ago, but It’s never too late to take accountability for my actions.

“Thank you, Mama, for blessing my song ‘Wetin We Gain’ with a verse. Unfortunately, the remix never saw the light of day.

“I could go on and on explaining why it didn’t happen, but none of those explanations matters more than the genuine effort, love, and creativity you poured into making the song beautiful. For that, I’m truly sorry about how things turned out,” he wrote.

He also commended Tiwa Savage for her contributions to Afrobeats and for paving the way for other artistes.

“Beyond this, I want to use this opportunity to appreciate you for everything you’ve done for the culture and for the doors you’ve opened for Afrobeats. Your impact is undeniable, and I’ll never take your contribution to my journey for granted,” he added.

Responding in the comment section, Tiwa Savage appreciated the singer’s gesture, saying she holds only love for him.

“I appreciate this. God knows the reason for everything. All love,” she wrote.
