Rihanna Blames Voter Apathy for Trump’s Second-Term Win

US-based singer Rihanna has attributed President Donald Trump’s return to office for a second term to voter apathy.

It was gathered that Trump secured his second term after defeating Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in 2024, having lost his first re-election attempt to Democrat Joe Biden in 2020.

In a recent detailed discussion with journalist Charles M. Blow, former MSNBC host Joy Reid said Americans deserved the financial controversies linked to Trump’s administration for voting him back into power.

Reacting to a viral clip of the interview on Instagram, Rihanna argued that those who failed to vote at all should be held responsible for Trump’s second-term victory and the economic difficulties under his administration.

“Believe it or not, those who didn’t vote at all also did this!” she wrote.

Although she lives in the United States, Rihanna is not an American citizen and therefore not eligible to vote in US elections.
