Banky W Announces Return To Music, Credits Prayer For New Collaboration With Victor Thompson
Prominent Nigerian singer and pastor, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has announced his comeback to music after years away from the scene, revealing how a prayer for guidance led to a surprise collaboration with gospel artiste, Victor Thompson.
Banky W shared the news in an Instagram post, where he announced that his upcoming single titled ‘SUPER POWER’, featuring Victor Thompson, will be released on November 6, 2026.
The singer explained that he had earlier come to terms with the end of his music career and had no intention of returning to the studio.

However, he said he started feeling a renewed urge to make music, with lyrics and melodies constantly coming to him even though he was hesitant to embark on another musical journey.
Banky W disclosed that he eventually prayed to God, asking for songs to sing if he still had more to do in music.
Speaking on his return to music, he described the collaboration as beyond just a musical project, but an act of obedience and a reminder that chapters thought to be closed could be reopened.
He also confessed that he is uncertain about how to promote music in the present entertainment industry but is prepared to trust the process.
The forthcoming single signifies a fresh chapter in the singer’s musical career.
