Alausa Super 8: AFA draws Pass FA, as Gosa flogs Ifako Boys

The opening group B fixture of the ongoing Alausa Adiyan Super 8 football tournament between Pass FA and AFA ends in a 2-2 draw.

The entertaining match started with David opening scoring for Pass FA in nine minutes.

Sunny could have doubled the lead for Pass FA, but had a poor first touch, which resulted in a clearance from AFA goalkeeper, Lekan.

Pass goalkeeper, Bolaji, made strings of saves, including denying Gomez a header from close range.

David could have registered a brace, going one-one with the goalkeeper after dispossessing Toheeb, but his tamed shot didn’t trouble Lekan.

The much needed equaliser came in 30 minutes with a nice volley from Samuel.

Meanwhile, Pass FA’s super sub, Daniel, didn’t waste time to register his presence in the match, as his first touch was an assist to Samuel that restored his side’s lead at 56 minutes, before Toheeb, who captained AFA pounced on a communication glitch between Chukwuma and his goalie to produce another comeback at 72 minutes.

In the second encounter of the day, Gosa FC produced an incredible performance, coming from two goals down to beat Ifako Boys 2-3.
