Buhari Replaces NBC DG With A Northerner

Professor Armstrong Idachaba, the Director-General of Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), has been replaced by a northerner, Balarabe Shehu Ilelah. 

Ilelah’s appointment, approved by President Muhammadu Buhari, was announced on Friday by Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister for Information and Culture. 

In his statement, Mohammed said Ilelah’s appointment “is for a tenure of five years in the first instance.”
