Burna Boy, Shakira Perform 2026 World Cup Anthem
Nigerian superstar Burna Boy and Colombian icon Shakira shared the stage to perform “Dai Dai,” the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Their performance marked a major moment for African and Latin music on the global sports stage.
The two artists appeared at the tournament’s opening ceremony on yesterday at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, which kicked off one hour after the opening match between hosts Mexico and South Africa.

This year’s World Cup is historic with 48 teams for the first time, jointly hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
Burna Boy therefore delivered a high-energy rendition of “Dai Dai,” while Shakira opened with the song’s first verse after J Balvin’s set.
