Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has called out the trend of people trying to live exactly like him, urging them to focus on carving out their own journeys instead.
The singer said what people see online including the jets, shows, and flashy lifestyle is only one side of the story, noting that behind it are sacrifices, challenges, and circumstances that are unique to him.
“Everyone has a different journey,” Davido said. “Don’t measure your life against celebrities or public figures.”
His message quickly sparked conversation online. Many fans agreed with him, saying real success comes from authenticity, consistency, and hard work, not imitation.
The DMW boss, who recently said he is in his “crown era,” has been using his platform to encourage young people to stay focused and build their own identity.
