Democracy: Falana Demands Release Of Kidnapped School Children

Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has expressed his displeasure over the condition of school children reportedly held captive by terrorists in forest hideouts.

Speaking during the EndBadGovernance protest in Lagos today, calling for their immediate release and freedom.

The senior advocate said children abducted in Oyo and Borno States are suffering without basic care.

“Those kids are suffering. No medical attention, no food for them. And so for us as Nigerians, all of us are in custody, one way or the other,” he stated.

Falana also linked the crisis to Nigeria’s economic situation, describing the hardship as “man-made.”

“We are also protesting hunger in the land, poverty in the land, and we are calling on the government that there is no basis for poverty in Nigeria,” he added.
