“I Back Politicians Only For Financial Survival” Says Actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke
Popular Nollywood actress Ronke Ojo, better known as Ronke Oshodi-Oke, has said her involvement with politicians is strictly business, and she does not want to be judged for it.
In a chat with African A-List, the veteran actress stated that she avoids conversations about Nigerian politics because she finds it messy, adding that she is not endorsing any candidate and respects everyone’s right to choose who to vote for.
“Politics in Nigeria is dirty, so I’m not discussing it. I’m not telling anyone who to vote for,” she pointed out.
When asked if she would take money to support or campaign for a politician, Oshodi-Oke said people should see it as her hustle to earn a living.
“If you see me with any politician, just know I’m looking for food for my table. Please don’t insult or drag me. Let me eat,” she explained vividly.
The actress therefore opened up about other parts of her life during the interview.
She spoke on her health struggles, challenges in marriage, raising children, her faith, and her years of experience in Nollywood, emphasizing how all of it has shaped how she views life and relationships.
