“We are Building A Signature December Destination In Ijebuland” – FMA MD, Jide Fowode, On New Ijebu Detty December Festival

Ijebuland will host its first major end-of-year party this December as organizers launch Ijebu Detty December 2026, a three-day festival aimed at turning Ijebuland into a new hub for music, culture, and holiday tourism.
According to Festival Managers Africa International Limited, the event will mirror the popular Lagos December vibe. It’s set for Tuesday, December 29 to Thursday, December 31, 2026 in Ijebu-Ode.
Organized by FMA, the festival aims to deliver a unique end-of-year experience by combining music, comedy, culture, food, fashion, gaming, lifestyle, tourism, and brand activations all in one space.

The organizers expect thousands of attendees including youths, young professionals, returning indigenes, tourists, and entertainment lovers. They’re promising three days of live performances, cultural displays, networking, and premium consumer experiences.
Ijebu-Ode, known as the commercial and social hub of Ijebuland, was chosen for its central location, strong hospitality infrastructure, and cultural influence. It’s positioned to draw visitors from across the country during the holiday season.
Beyond entertainment, Ijebu Detty December is designed as an annual homecoming celebration. The goal is to spotlight Ijebuland’s hospitality, culture, creativity, and business spirit while creating opportunities for local vendors, creatives, hotels, and other stakeholders.
The lineup will include live music, celebrity appearances, DJs, comedy, cultural exhibitions, food and fashion showcases, gaming, lifestyle activities, and interactive brand experiences.
Speaking on the project, Otunba Jide Fowode, MD/CXO of Festival Managers Africa International Limited, said:
“Ijebu Detty December is a strategic entertainment and lifestyle platform built to create a signature December destination in Ijebuland while delivering real value for brands, businesses, and the local economy.
“By blending entertainment, culture, consumer engagement, and tourism, the festival gives sponsors a chance to reach a vibrant audience, boost visibility, and become part of a new December tradition that will last in Ijebuland.”
