Jarvis Opens Up On Tough Childhood Struggles
Prominent Nigerian content creator and streamer, Jarvis has shared details of her difficult upbringing, revealing how growing up with a mother who lives with bipolar disorder and not knowing her father shaped her early life.
Speaking during an interactive session at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega’s church in the United Kingdom, Jarvis said she was mostly raised by her grandparents, describing them as strict, but credited them for giving her structure and helping her through tough times.
Speaking further, she noted that things got harder when her family struggled to pay school fees, and hunger became a daily battle.

“We were always hungry, and we’ll go to TikTok and be watching food just to get satisfied, salivate, and at the end of the day we would cry and pray and just say, God, help us,” she recalled.
Jarvis said a friend introduced her to TikTok livestreaming. Her first live with her sister brought in about 200 viewers and earned them $5.
Despite her family’s disapproval of social media, she said she and her sister kept going because they needed money for school and basic needs.
She also spoke about how she met her husband, fellow creator Peller, on livestream.
“I met Peller on live stream. He was wooing my sister. He was liking me but I was like, Bro, don’t talk to me. Talk to my sister,” she said.
