Just In: Cross River Gov, Ayade Defects to APC

Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His decision came some hours after a closed door meeting with other governors and leaders of APC, who visited him in his state.

Gov. Ayade claimed that the desire to get his people closer to the government at the central level necessitated his decision.
