McConnell Breaks Weeks of Silence, Discloses Fall Caused Hospitalization

He tied the incident to long-standing health factors, noting that surviving childhood polio left him with permanent mobility challenges. McConnell remarked that these difficulties have naturally grown more complex with age, leading to the fall last month that ultimately landed him in the hospital.
To clear up rumours regarding the severity of his condition, McConnell shared specific details provided by his medical team.

McConnell was briefly knocked unconscious immediately following the fall.
While undergoing treatment at the hospital, he contracted a mild case of pneumonia.
Doctors confirmed the fall did not cause any broken bones or a concussion. Furthermore, testing ruled out a stroke, a heart attack, tumors, or hemorrhages.
While the senator is making progress, his recovery timeline remains open as he continues to recuperate before returning to his legislative duties.
