A 24-year-old boy, Peter Nwala was this morning stabbed to death by a tea vendor popularly known as ‘maytea’ in Juba Alaro junction, off Liasu Road, Egbe-Idimu, Lagos. The deceased father, Fidelis Nwala, who spoke to our Correspondent, said “yesterday, Peter went to buy what he will eat around 10pm from the Hausa tea seller. He bought bread, tea, fried egg and suya but noticed that the bread he bought tested bad and told the vendor that he will not pay for the bread but he will pay for other things he bought. “Truly, he made payment for other things he bought, but refused to pay for the bread as he turned to go, the vendor signaled his colleague selling suya, who brought out one of the daggers he used in cutting suya and Stabbed him from behind. “The killers of my son must be brought to book, though the Police from Ikotun Divisional headquarters had summoned their leader popularly known as Seriki, that he must produce the perpetrators, and the Seriki had also assured that he will produce the perpetrators.” When contacted, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ikotun, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Emmanuel Onnah, said “we have been at the scene of the crime to calm the situation.”   -Dedeigbo Ayodeji
