Why I Took Long Break From Acting — Mosun Filani
Nollywood actress Mosun Filani has opened up on why she took a long break from her acting career.
This was disclosed in an interview with BBC Yoruba, the actress revealed that she stepped away from the screen to dedicate time to her family and raise her children.
According to her, her children are now grown and mature enough, making it the right time for her to make a comeback to the movie industry.

“I stopped acting to focus on my family. My kids are grown; they know left from right, and it is time for me to get back to acting,” she opined.
Filani also cleared the air on speculations about her marriage, stating that she is not her husband’s second wife.
Speaking further, she explained that although her husband had been married in the past, but she did not meet any wife in his home when they got together.
“I am not a second wife; my husband might have had a marriage before, but I did not meet anyone in his house,” she noted.
The actress, who is popular for her roles in Yoruba movies, started acting on stage while she was a student at the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, before proceeding to Tai Solarin University of Education where she studied Business Administration.
