When Did Social Media Become Family Court – Uriel Oputa Queries Couples

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and entrepreneur, Uriel Oputa, has expressed concern over the rising trend of couples bringing their private relationship issues to social media.

In a post on her social media page, the reality star wondered when social media became a place for settling family disputes.

“When did social media become the family court?” she queried.

Uriel said she desires a partner who understands that not every disagreement should be made public.

She advised couples to settle their differences privately through sincere communication, family mediation or professional counselling if needed.

The reality star further cautioned that people on social media who follow such drama often take sides, share screenshots, make memes and argue in comment sections before moving on to the next trending topic.

“Social media doesn’t love you the way you think it does,” she added.
