Celebrities Mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary Celebration

Several celebrities have taken to social media to celebrate Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day anniversary.

Among those who joined the celebration were Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Biodun Stephen, Funke Akindele and Ghanaian actor Van Vicker, who shared colourful photos and videos to mark the occasion.

While celebrating, the stars acknowledged the challenges facing Nigerians, expressed hope for a better country, and called for collective effort in building the nation.

Richard Mofe-Damijo, stunning in a green damask outfit, urged Nigerians to play their part in nation-building.

“Happy Independence Day, Nigeria! A great nation is built by the collective efforts of its people. Every honest action, every act of kindness, every contribution, and every decision to do better plays a part in shaping the Nigeria we hope to see,” he stated.

“We all have a role to play in building the nation we dream of. And with each of us doing our part, I believe Nigeria will be great. Here’s to a better, stronger, and greater Nigeria,” RMD added.

In a joint video, Timini Egbuson, RMD, Kate Henshaw and Funke Akindele reminded Nigerians that “Nigeria is a people,” emphasizing the role of citizens in building the country.

In a separate post, Funke Akindele, dazzling in a wine and yellow sequin damask, said Nigeria’s independence is still worth celebrating despite the challenges, noting that Nigerians continue to pray for a better nation.
