Zlatan Ibile Calls Out Awkward Celebrity Encounters

Nigerian singer, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, has called out people who act awkwardly when they meet celebrities.

The ‘Zanku’ crooner made this known on X while reacting to how some fans become visibly starstruck in the presence of public figures.

Zlatan suggested that having a famous person in one’s family could make people more comfortable around celebrities and help them avoid what he described as embarrassing behaviour.

In his post, he wrote, “I wish some of you had at least one celebrity in your family.”

According to him, such familiarity would help normalise encounters with public figures and stop fans from becoming overwhelmed when they meet them.

The singer’s comment has since drawn mixed reactions online.

While some social media users agreed that fans often go overboard when meeting their favourite stars, others argued that getting excited around celebrities is normal, especially for a first-time encounter.

His remark has further fueled the ongoing conversation about fan behaviour and how people respond to fame.
