Ogun 2027: I Have Not Withdrawn, I’m Confident Of Victory In Court — Hunye ‎

‎The Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Hon. Abayomi Hunye, has dismissed reports claiming that he has withdrawn from the race, describing them as false, misleading and a figment of his political opponents’ imagination.

‎Hunye, in an official response to the rumours circulating on social media, declared that he had neither withdrawn his aspiration nor abandoned his legal battle over the disputed APC governorship primary.

‎He urged his supporters, party members and the general public to disregard the reports, insisting that his political ambition remained intact.

‎“I wish to state categorically that I have not withdrawn from the race, and I have no intention of doing so. The reports suggesting otherwise are false and should be disregarded.

‎“My aspiration remains firm, and I am fully committed to pursuing justice through the lawful process. I have unwavering confidence in the judiciary and firmly believe that the facts of the case and the applicable laws will speak for themselves,” Hunye said.

‎The governorship aspirant maintained that his decision to seek judicial intervention was a legitimate effort to obtain justice over the circumstances surrounding the party’s primary election.

‎He stressed that he would not be distracted by speculation or misinformation, adding that his confidence in the judicial process remained unshaken.

‎Hunye also called on his supporters to remain calm, steadfast and law-abiding while the legal proceedings continue.

‎“I urge our supporters and well-wishers not to be discouraged by false reports or deliberate attempts to create confusion. We remain resolute, hopeful and confident that justice will prevail.

‎“Our position has not changed. We will continue to follow due process and allow the court to determine the matter in accordance with the law,” he added.

‎He urged members of the public to rely on verified information and official communications rather than unsubstantiated claims circulating on social media.

‎Hunye reaffirmed his commitment to his political aspiration, expressing confidence that the judicial process would provide an opportunity for the issues in dispute to be determined fairly.
