Afrobeats star Davido said the weight of fame can be heavy, admitting he sometimes just wants to live like everyone else.
In a recent interview, the singer addressed comments that he is “too free” and doesn’t act like a typical superstar.
According to Davido, people expect him to carry himself a certain way because of his status. But behind the spotlight, he longs for moments of normalcy without constant scrutiny.

“There’s this misconception that I am too free, that I do not act like a celebrity or superstar. Sometimes I just want to live like a regular person,” he said.
Meanwhile the 30BG boss has often been praised for being down-to-earth and accessible to fans, a trait he says comes from wanting to stay grounded despite his global fame.
