How I Met My Wife: Odunlade Adekola Celebrates Wife Ruth On Birthday
Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola has written a heartfelt birthday tribute to his wife, Ruth Abosede Adekola, recalling how he first declared his intentions to her 22 years ago.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the 49-year-old actor narrated how he approached her and told her he wanted to marry her.
“I saw Madam Ruth Abosede Adekola about 22 years ago!” he wrote.

“I walked up to her and said, ‘My friend! I see what I want in you. Can you be mine?’”
Adekola disclosed that he got fully engaged to her 20 years ago, describing her as the mother of his children.
“20 years ago, I got fully engaged to my baby, the MOTHER of our KINGS. Deaconess Ruth Abosede Adekola,” he added.
He went on to celebrate Ruth as his number one fan, reaffirming his love for her and pledging to love her for the rest of his life.
The actor prayed for God’s continuous favour upon their family, wished her a happy birthday, and asked his followers to join in celebrating her.
Adekola began his acting career in 1996, the same year he joined the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners.
He has since established himself in Nollywood as an actor, screenwriter, producer and director.
The couple got married in 2003 and are blessed with four children.
